Whangārei District’s new $48m civic building is a fit-for-purpose building, designed to provide a welcoming, inclusive and easily accessible customer experience. The building is designed to be sustainable and to strongly reflect our cultural identity and heritage.

The building is a central hub for local government-related activities, including:

• democratic processes
• customer services
• administrative functions
• council staff
• Northland Transport Alliance staff

Starke is excited to be the supplier of choice for Canam for this new Northland icon, and we have been involved right from design through to engineering. As we write the project beautifully completed and handed over. The specification will be using Starke Commercial Aluminium Joinery from out 106mm flush glaze, 159 flush glaze, and 159 structural glaze suites, and it sure is a beauty – an icon of the north!
